How collection works. Helix Biobank records each sample one unit at a time — the four DNA bases A, T, G, C plus the chosen collection day and year. Units are logged in the order they're received; the base sequence is then translated codon-by-codon (every three bases → one amino acid) into its protein sequence in the lab notebook.
